Chaza is a hospitality system dedicated to those who seek a deep connection with the countryside, a sense of time closer to natural rhythms and wish to explore a Sicily far from clichés and distracted, hurried tourism.
The wine, the land, the hospitality
Chaza comes to life with the idea of offering an authentic experience of the Sicilian rural world. This is a land of vineyards and olive groves, almond and prickly pear trees. The landscape is ancient and seductive. Calm and exhilarating. Staying in Chaza is the best way to get in touch with the ancestral nature of the Iblei mountains, with the beauty of unexpected villages like Chiaramonte Gulfi. The houses of Chaza allow immersion in this unique context with all the convenience and comfort of the most modern architecture. Without sacrificing contact with stone, with wood, with the real thing.
A new way of making ancient wines, respecting the soil and accepting natural times.
Arianna Occhipinti’s farm produces wines from about 30ha of vineyards, including Frappato, Nero d’Avola, Zibibbo, Moscato d’Alessandria, Albanello, and Grillo. In addition, there are crops of Coscia and Gentile pears, Tumminia wheat, and legumes. In the farm’s districts are centuries-old Tonda Iblea and Nocellara del Belice olive trees, half a hectare of citrus, 1,500 sq. m. of vegetable garden, carob and other fruit trees.
